Duane Harper, uno de los alumnos más activos de Alan Orr, está ahora escribiendo unos fantásticos artículos en la versión inglesa de la revista Martial Arts Illustrated.
Duane está muy metido en el mundo de MMA en UK, compiten tanto el como sus alumnos, enseña BJJ y enseña Wing Chun. Además acude a los Wing Chun Gatherings para ver qué están haciendo otros. Por lo tanto muchas de las entrevistas están enfocadas al mundo del Wing Chun con sus ideas de entrenamiento moderno y adaptabilidad.

Acerca de Wing Chun: «PS– I would like to see it get more credibility. To be honest with you I don’t want to sound too negative but I don’t see it getting any further because I have seen some people, not just at this weekend (The Wing Chun Gathering) and I am not bad mouthing anybody but it’s not good, it’s not good at all. Until people open their eyes and question stuff, question things in context we’re never going to progress. When mma came along it opened a lot of people’s eyes. «
Duane: «I’ve found myself if I try and teach wing chun in a very traditional way it turns people off. I think the training of it needs to be more realistic. »
